People have long understood that success in today’s globalized economy and public sector requires cultural awareness and an ability to adapt to different cultures. Now research indicates that this kind of awareness and capability can be measured and evaluated. It’s quantified as your Cultural Intelligence (CQ). CQ is the capability to function effectively in a variety of national, ethnic, and organizational cultures. It’s similar to IQ and EQ in that it measures a set of capabilities necessary to be successful, both personally and professionally.
CQ is unique because it focuses specifically upon the skills and capabilities needed to succeed internationally and in multicultural domestic contexts. Individuals and Organizations that assess and develop CQ are experiencing many important outcomes.
The Leading with Cultural Intelligence workshop is a scalable workshop (1-Day, 2-Day, 3-Day) and includes an introduction to the CQ model in research with an emphasis on communicating across cultures as it relates to the participant’s roles on his/her leadership team and organizational culture. Participants will be given a pre-assessment which is completed online, and during the workshop provided with examples and best practices for using cultural intelligence as part of their role at the organization and will leave with an action plan for improving their cultural intelligence personally and professionally. The content of this workshop is rooted in the research on CQ and from the successful use of cultural intelligence among leading global organizations.
