Overall Aim: CommUnity for Men is a spiritual formation and Forge relational development huddle designed to help men develop Level 5 Friendships and be more like Christ in every area of his life so that he would love, live and lead like Christ. 


Content Playbook: CommUnity for Men is offered primarily as a Forge relational development huddle building upon the learning process from the foundational training of SDI 2.0 and Three Passions of the Soul. CommUnity for Men provides intentionality and accountability to the praxis and application of Relational Intelligence principles and concepts. 


CommUnity for Men provides men with honest and ongoing feedback and support that inspires, challenges, facilitates growth and change, and partners with other brothers in Christ to achieve stated personal goals. Gatherings are intended to help bring life transformation in Christ. 

How it’s Different from Other Men’s Huddle Models:  It starts with a world-class assessment (SDI 2.0) that takes men on a journey of Identity discovery and equips them with proven strategies to increase their relationship IQ and effectiveness as a husband, father, son, team member and community leader. 

PREREQUISITES

  1. Take the SDI 2.0 Assessment (30-minutes)

  2. Review your assessment results and watch the videos on the Core Strengths Platform to better understand your motivational value system, conflict sequence and patterns, strengths and overdone strengths. (45-minutes) 

Gatherings Focus By Weeks: 

Week #1: Integrate the Gospel through Three Passions of the Soul for Spiritual Formation

  • The correlation between Acceptance and People: Linked to the desire to help and care for people.

  • The alignment between Significance and Performance: Connected to the drive for success, task accomplishment and achievement.

  • The connection between Security and Process: Associated with the need for structure, order, and analysis. 

Week #2 - Debrief of SDI 2.0 and Core Strengths Platform

  • Receive questions regarding their assessment results and SDI in general 

  • Share insights about their assessment results and relational intelligence 

Week #3 - Find your true Identity, answers the question - who am I and who am I becoming in Christ?

  • Gain a deeper understanding of self 

    • Your Motivational Value System (MVS)

    • Conflict Patterns

    • Strengths and Overdone Strengths 

  • Know your Life Values to help you live in authenticity and congruence. 

  • Establish Biblical Power Virtues - I am statements exercise 

Week #5 - Communicating in the Right Style

  • Learning to use the Translator 

  • Words mean different things by MVS

  • Are you a 100% Listener? 

  • How Do You Listen?

Week #9 - Maintaining Emotional and Mental Health

  • Dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, and emotional struggles using Emotional Intelligence and 3 Passions of the Soul. 

  • The importance of vulnerability and building deep, supportive friendships with other men.

  • Overcoming societal pressures and toxic masculinity through faith.

Week #10 - Establishing Accountability and Brotherhood

  • Building authentic relationships with other men to stay accountable in faith, actions, and habits.

  • Supporting each other in struggles, temptations, and spiritual growth.

  • Creating safe spaces for open and honest conversations.

Week #11 - Purpose and Calling, answers the question - why do I exist and what is my life calling?

  • Discovering one’s God-given life Purpose and living a life that reflects that calling.

  • Using talents, gifts, and resources to serve others and make a difference for Christ.

Week #12- How to integrate your Relational Intelligence to Family 

  • Strengthening your marriage and navigating conflict with your spouse using your insights from SDI 

  • Knowing how to influence and relate your children/grandchildren using your insights from SDI

Week #13- Work and Career

  • Balancing faith with work and career ambitions.

  • Navigating ethical dilemmas in the workplace and living out Christian values at work.

  • Time management, stress, and aligning work with God’s calling.

Week #14 - Servant Leadership and Community Involvement

  • Encouraging men to take on roles of service within the church and their communities.

  • Involvement in missions, charity, and outreach, demonstrating Christ’s love to others.

Week #15 - Pursuing Sexual Integrity

  • Dealing with pornography addiction, sexual temptation, and maintaining purity.

  • Cultivating a healthy emotional and sexual relationship with your spouse and avoiding extramarital temptation.

Week #16 - Dealing with Failure and Forgiveness

  • Understanding grace, repentance, and forgiveness when men fall short in their spiritual walk.

  • Learning how to forgive others and seek reconciliation in relationships.

Week #17 - Create a Plan to accomplish your life mission 

  • Deploying strengths and underutilized strengths, communication skills, and applying relational intelligence to your leadership and relationships

  • Managing conflict and change effectively 

  • Giving and receiving feedback as a leader

  • Leading difficult people 

Who it’s For:  NCS men who desire to establish Level 5 Friendships and a Forge relational development huddle. 


How it Works:  By utilizing a proven assessment tool called the Strength Deployment Inventory (SDI 2.0),men will gain deeper and more personal insights into their motivations, conflict patterns, strengths, and communication styles. This knowledge will reveal their relationship’s unique blueprint and, when combined with practical tools to enhance their relational IQ, it will help transform their most meaningful relationships at home, work and in their community.  

Outcomes:  Level 5 Friendships and Forge relational development huddles go significantly deeper than levels 1-4 and add a purposeful commitment to meet consistently to connect. Men get to know one another personally and confidentially, disclosing struggles, praying for each other, confessing sins, erasing secrets, staying accountable, and pulling each other closer to Jesus and our Abba Father. CommUnity for Men is a catalytic resource designed to help foster deeper soul awareness, and personal and professional transformation.
